Notice to all Queenstown Bank of Maryland Visa Debit Cardholders

                                              December 1, 2014
Data breaches of merchant payment systems over the past several months has resulted in Queenstown Bank of Maryland  cardholders experiencing an extremely high  number of fraudulent transactions over the past several days. Effective immediately we will require the use of the PIN to complete transactions at any store that is categorized as a ‘grocery’ or ‘drug/pharmacy’ merchant. If your transaction is declined, try again as a DEBIT transaction using your PIN. Using your assigned PIN for any card transaction increases your level of security. Queenstown Bank does not charge any additional fee for a PIN transaction using your Visa debit card. This decision has been made to protect our cardholders from further fraudulent activity. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
